For the first time since being at school, I went to the Christmas market in my hometown of Lincoln last weekend. Once one of the most popular markets in the country, Lincoln market is now smaller than the ones in Manchester or Leeds, but just as good (although I may be biased).

The market is sprawled around the cathedral and castle and its stalls represent small businesses from across the county. Showcasing home-brewed gin, handmade Christmas decorations, sustainable swaps and delicious treats, the Christmas market is always a fun day or evening out.

As well as the gorgeous array of food on offer around the market – we’re talking German hot dogs, vegan burgers, homemade fudge and loaded crêpes – the market provides plenty of entertainment with a selection of fairground-style games and the iconic Ferris wheel.

Lincoln Christmas market only runs for 4 days each December and is accessible via a park and ride bus from the show ground. Don’t miss out next Christmas!
Christmas markets are one of the most beautiful and magical events we always look forward to. Looks like you had fun at Lincoln Market! Thanks for sharing and have a lovely festive season 😊 Aiva
